Anthony Hill

Vice President

Anthony’s experience spans 16 years working within the funeral industry. During his time he has benefited from a large customer base of trusted relationships, supplying premium willow coffins and products under Somerset Willow England.

He has observed many aspects of the industry including; UK and international trade fairs, the operations of crematoria, developed industry suited products and adapted his own company’s best practices to suit the needs of customers.

Throughout his journey, he has enjoyed collaborating with other manufacturers and suppliers for the good of the industry.

In the future, he looks forward to providing support to the FSA in its endeavour to work with a broader audience, to adapt and bring change where necessary.

Jade Wilcox

Second Vice President

Daughter of Paul Wilcox and granddaughter of the company founders Bill & May Wilcox is Managing Director of the 70 year old automotive coachbuilding business, Wilcox Limousines.

“It’s a privilege and honour to be part of the family team managing the business, this is an industry I’ve grown up around my whole life. I’ve enjoyed in the past being a funeral director giving me a greater understanding of our customers’ requirements. We’re investing heavily in training and development, focusing on diversity and different understandings and perspectives.”

Jade lives in Oxfordshire and when not working is busy raising 3 children with her husband Tatum. “Juggling family life whilst running a business is always going to be a delicate balance, however I’m lucky enough to do this with my family, including my father and sister, and many of our employees are like family”

Bob Tomes

Immediate Past President

Bob is the son of Colourful Coffins’ founder Mary Tomes and, over the last decade working within the family business, he has built up an in-depth knowledge of the funeral industry. Proud of its reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, the Colourful Coffins team works closely with funeral directors and partners to ensure that bereaved families have the opportunity to say a very personal farewell.

As Bob’s year as President was interrupted by the Pandemic he served a second year although that had its restrictions too.

Outside of work, Bob, a former police officer who is married with three sons, is a passionate squash player who enjoys the occasional game of cricket in the summer.

Alun Tucker

Chief Executive

Funeral Suppliers’ Association is headed by Alun Tucker, a funeral professional with over 50 years’ experience.

With a proven track record in business management at a senior level, Alun has served as President of the National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors on two occasions.

Alun was appointed Chief Executive of the Funeral Furnishing Manufacturers’ Association (FFMA) in October 2018, where he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the organisation, including managing its finances, administering the Coffin and Casket Certification scheme and keeping members up-to-date with the association’s work, to name but a few areas of focus.

Due the wide variety of services provided by its members Alun has overseen the rebrand from FFMA to Funeral Suppliers’ Association (FSA) and looks forward to developing the work of the FSA.
